Harmondsworth is an absolute gem of a village, a peaceful haven (ignoring the aircraft noise) that could be deep in the countryside and not just 1km from LHR’s north runway. Steeped in history it boasts the 15th century great barn and the 12th century Church of St Mary the Virgin and several other listed buildings. Remarkably, Harmondsworth still has a stable community of residents and far fewer transient rental properties than the other Heathrow villages.
